An A-Team Chirstmas "The A-Team crash lands in the backwoods, where they battle a band of crazed mountain men who are about to burn a man at the stake." - Holiday in the Hills, The A-Team Yeah, that about sums it up. |

being a centrist is hard
i think it's impossible to be a centrist, especially in a nutty place like California. I didn't vote for him, but I think you have to admire Schwarzenegger for trying. |

chili
my friend's old chef came over and made chili for a cookoff at one of the indie weeklies here. holy moley it was one of the best chilis i've ever had. i was dubious at first since he inverted one of the techniques i would have used, but it came out brilliant. i won't go so far as to say the best, but i can tell you right now it is more than good enough to win. hells yeah. while it was cooking we all sat around and watched the latest top chef and the volume kept going up because everyone was too busy arguing over the episode. and i'm supposed to get up bright and early tomorrow. snore. |

important things blah blah blah reviewing possible top ten album choices
I'm working on a bunch of shit right now. The best part about being single is that it is easy to focus - other than my sweetie doggie - and it's easy to keep organized. I can do my laundry and just put it away. Anything in my room can be put away at will. Such a pleasure! Anyway those Aussies every once in a while really come through and slam down an awesome dance album. Few albums will ever live up to the brilliance of say The Avalanches but things like Cut Copy really kicks you in the gut and transports you to the dance floors of my childhood which is both just slightly goofy, slightly throwback, and a good dose of awesome. |

everything old is new again
in this case parkour... my trip back to california was both delightful - ano nuevo was wonderful, and there was a wonderful duet of leonardo exhibits at the san jose tech, a superior indian dinner - and a complete bust. I've come back to atlanta, moved to another fun side of town and am now trying to cut down on all the excesses and refocus on what's important. back to work |

i voted! twice!
turns out I voted - twice - in the election. My parents called me up and let me know who I voted for absentee in california. Turns out voter fraud isn't limited to acorn. P.S. before anyone gets mad, they had me vote against prop 8 (which passed, unfortunately). and against the bullet train (which passed suprisingly enough considering california's economic problems) Those two votes also sum up generally how my parents feel about things - Fiscally conservative, socially liberal. More like a modern day Goldwater republican. Oh well, I thought that was pretty funny. |
